A Day of Healing: Reflections from the Quantum Weaving for Leaders Retreat

Earlier this month, I had the privilege of attending the Quantum Weaving for Leaders retreat, guided by Mach’a Quay and Dr. Elizabeth Price. The day offered me more than just a break from the demands of daily life — it gave me renewed strength, mental clarity, and a deep sense of calm that has stayed with me all week.

The retreat created a nurturing and intentional space.

Exactly what I needed to decompress and reconnect with myself. Dr. Price led us through a series of meditative journeys, each one supported by Mach’a Quay’s soulful drumming and soothing voice. These sessions helped quiet the noise of everyday stress, allowing me to focus inward and process what’s been weighing on me.

Throughout the day, we had ample time to rest, reflect, and connect with fellow participants. The setting itself — nestled in the breathtaking beauty of the Rocky Mountains — added an extra layer of serenity to the experience.

Some attendees chose to engage in a ceremonial use of Amazonian Mapacho (Sacred Tobacco), offered with deep respect by Mach’a Quay. Whether or not one partook directly, the energy of the ritual filled the space. Mapacho, an ancient medicine used in South American Shamanic practices, is known for its ability to clear energetic blockages, soothe mental agitation, and bring clarity — and its presence was certainly felt by all.

Personally, I gained a deeper understanding of healing modalities like focalizing and brainspotting as I worked through my intention for the day. These practices offered me powerful insights, and I left the retreat feeling more grounded and aligned.

We closed our day with a delicious, nourishing meal shared as a group — a perfect opportunity to bond, reflect, and celebrate the connections that had blossomed throughout the day. It’s always amazing to witness how strangers can become a supportive circle by the end of such a profound experience.

I encourage you to learn more about Mach’a Quay and Dr. Elizabeth Price to keep up to date with any future retreats that get planned. You will walk away with more than just a sense of peace. You’ll leave with community, clarity, and a heart full of gratitude just as I did.
